3hr Workshop II: Brazilian Zouk (For dancers) NORWICH

If you did the last workshop, you'll love these new variations! If you have never done Zouk before, it's still suitable for you!

Do you dance other partner dance styles, but you’re curious about Brazilian Zouk?

We know that existing dancers pick new styles up quicker than total beginners, so here is a bootcamp designed for you to progress quickly and get a great idea how Brazilian Zouk differs to styles like Salsa, Bachata and Kizomba!

What is Brazilian Zouk?

Brazilian Zouk is a beautiful partner dance which evolved from a fusion of Lambada (the “forbidden dance”) with influences from other Brazilian traditional dances. It can be danced to a huge variety of music and different moods, which makes it a very versatile and interesting dance!
Although Brazilian Zouk danced at an advanced level can include physically challenging movements, an emphasis on core technique and responsive leading and following means that we can enjoy this dance to whatever level we are ready for, with comfort and confidence.

Who is teaching this workshop?

Jenny Cousins is a very experienced Brazilian Zouk teacher, originally from Sheffield, who now lives nearby in Cambridge. She is passionate about sharing her love for the dance with anyone who will listen! As well as teaching classes, she organises regular Zouk events with guest teachers in Cambridge for the growing Zouk community there.
